"Going To The Well" Submissions
BRING YOUR WORDS TO THE WELL
Going to the Well is a living, breathing page of women's prose and poetry, gems of ideas, unforgettable quotes, soul lifters, and personal favorites from sacred texts and inspirational writings. It's also the place for your own thoughts, words of encouragement, and original writings.
As a volunteer, please submit your written gifts to other volunteers and members. Chances are you will never know the impact that you have made on someone's life. But as we say at Peace X Peace, Give those pearls of wisdom away!
What might you say to other women to let them know they are appreciated? What words have soothed you? When have you surprised yourself by finding courage you never knew was there? What inspires you? How do you show love in the world?
Send your contributions directly to Liora, liora@peacexpeace.org.
OFFERINGS
"Be a pioneer. Take action to start the wheel. This is the first step on the ladder of peace.... This will be big for women everywhere in the world.
At the beginning it's very difficult. This is only the beginning."

Let Your Sounds Blend With the Sounds of Other Women
Let your sounds blend with the
sounds of other women
and you'll know you're not alone.
No one can
sit in the night for you.
We have to do that alone.
No one can
feel the heat for you.
We have to do that alone.
No one can
breathe the rising steam,
as though to suffocate.
No one can lean,
can touch the ground
to ease the intensity.
But . . .
Let your sounds blend with the
sounds of other women
and you'll know you're not alone.
No one can
do your breathing,
despite the heaviness.
We have to do that alone.
No one can
feel your feelings.
We have to do that alone.
And no one can
make the sounds for you
in scream and growl,
wail, laugh, and chant.
But . . .
Let your sounds blend with the
sounds of other women
and you'll know you're not alone.
No one can
walk the path for you.
We each have our very own.
No one can
take the steps to be healed.
We have to do that alone.
And no one can
descend into
the water so cold and purifying.
No one can unfold
your involuntary response,
though terrifying.
But . . .
Let your sounds blend with the
sounds of other women
and you'll know you're not alone.
No one can
Step through
the door to aloneness.
I have to do that alone.
You have to do that alone.
We each must do that alone.
But . . .
Let your sounds blend with the
sounds of other women
and you'll know you're not alone.
